Account Information

When you create or use a KATXY account, we may collect information such as:

• account preferences; and
• information you provide about yourself or your publishing role.

Manuscripts

When you request an evaluation, you provide a completed fiction manuscript.

The manuscript is processed for the purpose of generating your KATXY evaluation, KATXY Score and Intelligence Report.

Evaluation Information

KATXY generates information from the manuscript, including:

• analytical findings;
• manuscript classifications;
• KATXY Score;
• report content;
• publishing-related analysis; and
• other information contained in the resulting Intelligence Report.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers.

KATXY does not store your complete payment-card or bank-account information. We may receive information relating to the transaction, such as payment status, amount, currency and transaction reference.

Website and Technical Information

When you use KATXY or visit our website, we may collect limited technical information such as:

• browser and device information;
• IP address;
• pages or features used;
• timestamps;
• application events;
• security events; and
• diagnostic or error information.

This information is used to operate, secure and improve the service.

Communications

If you contact us, we may retain the information contained in your message and any contact details you provide.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• create and maintain user accounts;
• provide manuscript evaluations;
• generate KATXY Scores and Intelligence Reports;
• process payments;

• improve the operation of KATXY.

We do not sell manuscripts or personal information to advertisers.

3. How Manuscripts Are Handled

We understand that an unpublished manuscript may represent valuable creative and intellectual property.

Manuscript content is used to perform the KATXY evaluation requested by the user.

After the evaluation has been completed, the uploaded manuscript file is deleted rather than retained as part of the completed report.

The resulting KATXY Score and Intelligence Report may remain available in the user's KATXY account.

KATXY does not acquire ownership of your manuscript because you submit it for evaluation.

You retain your rights in the manuscript.

4. AI Processing and Model Training

KATXY uses artificial intelligence systems as part of its manuscript-evaluation process.

Manuscript content may therefore be processed by AI service providers used to deliver the evaluation.

KATXY does not use submitted manuscripts as datasets to train or fine-tune its models.

Manuscript content is processed for the purpose of providing the evaluation requested by the user.

KATXY is an evaluation product. It does not use submitted manuscripts to create, rewrite or generate replacement manuscript content.

5. Intelligence Reports and KATXY Scores

Unlike the uploaded manuscript file, information created as part of the evaluation may be retained.

This can include:

• the KATXY Score;
• analytical findings;
• classifications;
• report content;
• report metadata; and
• other information necessary to make the Intelligence Report available to the user.

Reports may remain associated with the user's account unless they are deleted in accordance with KATXY's applicable retention practices or legal obligations.

6. Sharing Your Report

KATXY Intelligence Reports are designed to be usable across the publishing ecosystem.

A user may choose to share a report with another person, including a literary agent, publisher or other publishing professional.

KATXY does not make a private report public simply because it has been generated.

If you choose to share your report, the recipient's subsequent use of that information may be outside KATXY's control.

7. Service Providers

KATXY relies on third-party service providers to operate the service.

These providers may perform functions such as:

• cloud hosting;
• database and storage infrastructure;
• AI processing;
• payment processing;
• website hosting;
• security and monitoring;
• email delivery;
• analytics; and
• technical infrastructure.

These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services for KATXY and subject to their applicable contractual and data-protection obligations.

We do not provide manuscripts to third parties for advertising or unrelated commercial use.

8. Payments

Payments for KATXY services are processed by third-party payment providers.

Payment providers process payment information according to their own privacy policies and security practices.

KATXY may retain transaction information required for:

• confirming payment;
• providing the purchased service;
• accounting;
• refunds;
• fraud prevention; and
• legal or tax requirements.

KATXY does not store full payment-card credentials.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

KATXY may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to:

• keep users signed in;
• maintain account sessions;
• remember preferences;
• protect the service;
• understand website usage; and
• diagnose technical problems.

Where required by applicable law, users will be given appropriate choices regarding non-essential cookies.

10. Data Retention

Different types of information are retained for different periods depending on why the information is needed.

Manuscript Files

Uploaded manuscript files are deleted after the requested analysis has been completed.

Scores and Intelligence Reports

KATXY Scores, Intelligence Reports and related evaluation information may remain available in the user's account.

Account Information

Account information may be retained while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward where necessary for legal, security, accounting or operational purposes.

Payment Records

Transaction records may be retained where required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention or legal obligations.

Technical Records

Security and diagnostic information may be retained for a limited period where necessary to operate and protect the service.

We do not retain information longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to applicable legal requirements.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information handled by KATXY.

These measures may include access controls, secured infrastructure, authentication, encryption and restricted access to production systems.

However, no online service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

Users should also take reasonable steps to protect their account credentials.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information.

These may include the right to:

• request access to personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request deletion of certain personal information;

If KATXY or Celsius 233 undergoes a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets or similar business transaction, information associated with the service may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Any recipient would remain subject to applicable privacy obligations concerning that information.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as KATXY, our technology or applicable legal requirements change.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
